UEFA Champions League Final
Today soccer (football) clubs FC Barcelona and Manchester United will face-off in the UEFA Champions League final from Rome. The game will be airing at 2:30EST and one can guarantee that I will be parked on a couch watching it. Although I am a Cristiano Ronaldo fan, my allegiance still stands with Barcelona from the days of Ronaldinho playing with the team. It should be a spectacular contest.

Big L - Flamboyant (Unofficial Ratatat Remix)
I don't usually go for "unofficial" remixes, but I actually like this one better than Ratatat's remix of the Memphis Bleek track "Alright.
Curt Schilling? I don't think so.
With the good weather yesterday, I decided to sit out on my patio and change the handlebar tape on my bike. Now it is known by my friends and family that I am a little clumsy. For reasons unknown, I am always walking into things. So it was only right that I injure myself taking the bike out of the car. One of my chain rings managed to dig into my ankle and I thought for sure that there would be blood running down my leg. At least I had hoped there would be...for that would surely add some credibility to me jumping up in down in pain like a little child who had just scraped a knee. But alas, nothing. For the grease from the bike chain made any injury unnoticeable. With the weather still being nice, I decided to play a little basketball. I decided to lower the rim in an attempt to live out my dunking dreams. On my last dunk, (and it was my last for good reason), I decided to jump a little higher. As I threw the ball through the hoop, it managed to hit something and come with full force back into my face. I once again was jumping in pain. An ambitious start to the day was otherwise marred by a grease-filled hole in my leg and a red bump on my nose. At least my handlebars came out well.

Vintage Motorcycles
The Providence Journal ran an article yesterday about vintage motorcycle investing. Good news for those selling these motorcycles, bad news for those trying to afford them. If I only had the money.

Good For Him
Earlier today Brazilian racing driver Helio Castroneves won his third Indianapolis 500. An impressive feat in itself, but made even better by the fact that only a few months ago he was acquitted of six counts of tax evasion and one count of conspiracy to defraud the U.S. government.

Albrecht Durer
Back in the 15th century, Albrecht Durer lived in a small village near Nuremberg with his eighteen brothers and sisters. Albert and his brother both wanted to pursue their talent at art, but neither they nor their family had enough money for this to happen. They decided that they would flip a coin to see who would go off to study at the art academy in Nuremberg. The other would work in the mines for four years to finance his brother's studies. Albrecht won the toss. Shortly after arriving at the academy, his works became a sensation. After four years at school Albrecht came home and during his celebration stated, "And now blessed brother of mine, now it is your turn. Now you can go to Nuremberg to pursue your dream, and I will take care of you." Albrecht's brother stated, "No, no, no." He said that his hands had become arthritic from working in the mines and he wouldn't even be able to hold a paintbrush. As an homage to his brother, Albrecht produced this work of his hands which he called "Hands" but is now known around the world as "The Praying Hands."

It's always nice to see different materials being used in the world of fashion. These bags created by Saskia Diez are made of a very light synthetic paper. Not only are they extremely durable, but they are also 100% recyclable.
Hola
So I decided to start a blog! (conveniently after everybody and their sister already has one) I found myself checking many blogs per day over the past few years and although it was fun, it became very time consuming. To solve that, I decided to create my own blog that encompassed all of my interests into one site. Hopefully the readers will find my writing and content intriguing, as I look forward to posting it. Cheers.
