Swedish supercar company Koenigsegg has just purchased Saab from General Motors. This is the best car news that I have heard in a long, long time. The story can be read here.

Could You Stop The Ball Please?

There has been one problem that I have had with soccer recently, and that problem is the goalie.  Especially over the past few years watching the U.S. soccer team, I have found that goalies rarely take the blame for letting in a goal.  A goalie is always yelling at someone after they save a shot or the ball goes in.  Last time I checked, your job is to save the ball.  How about you get on the field and try playing one of the other positions.  It's not that easy.  I have played with goalies who have tried playing defense or midfield...and the results have not been pretty.  So next time I'm watching a soccer game I would like to see a goalie use some humility.  There is always a first time for everything.

Concepts x Nike SB "Blue Lobster" Dunk

It's no secret that I was a big fan of the concept of last year's Lobster Dunk. (the shoe wasn't too bad looking either) This year Boston shop Concepts got together with Nike SB again to produce a Blue Lobster Dunk. Not sure if I like it as much as the original, but still a cool concept.

Broad Rock Baseball

Went to go see my friend CJ coach his middle school team in the semifinals of the playoffs yesterday.  They were the number 1 seed of the entire playoffs, but unfortunately they lost 4-3.  It was an impressive season nonetheless due to the fact that they finished 13-2, while finishing only around .500 the previous year.  Even more impressive is that this is the first year CJ and his friend are coaching and they are only 23 and 22 years old, respectively.  Well done Chuck.

Up And Running

My friend Ben and I just got our joint blog up and running.  The blog will include our ideas, comical situations we have found ourselves in, and problems we have with certain TV shows and companies, among other things.  It should be fun writing it and even more fun reading it.  The blog can be found here.

The Tonight Show with Conan O'Brien

Tonight Conan O'Brien takes over for Jay Leno as host of The Tonight Show. Conan has always been my favorite late night host and I only wish he could have done the show from New York. It's also kind of cool that his family has a summer house in Rhode Island, which he visits frequently.

Say What?

I happened to catch a few minutes of the MTV Movie Awards last night. That, of course, was after the two shows that I was watching had gone to commercial. After watching the show for about two minutes, I was shocked at what was allowed to be said on tv. Apparently I did not get the memo, because the last time that I had watched television (a few hours before), one was not able to say what they were saying. Aside from the words that were allowed, it seemed that there were also more profane words bleeped every other word. When did excessive swearing become the cool thing to do? I'll save my rant about excessive swearing by musicians and comedians for another day, but the few minutes of last night's show that I saw really turned me off. Call me old-fashioned.

Changing Gears

So I will be changing up my posting habits a bit in the upcoming days. I will continue to post things that I find interesting, but I will also include some of what I do during the day, my thoughts about things, etc.  This week (hopefully) I will also be launching another blog with my friend Ben that discusses comical situations we have found ourselves in, problems we have with certain clothing companies and tv shows, and much more.  I look forward to these changes.
